Markus ran the kissing booth this year, which has become a notorious part of our parties at S.X.S.W. He worked all week raising $6,600 for the foundation and boy is his tongue swollen. More to come from South By soon…..

HOPES AND DREAMS foundation EPISODE 2

The second in a ten part series focusing on the NYC youth. We at HOPES AND DREAMS believe every child has a unique voice. Mohammed displayed early interest in creative writing, public speaking, and is a model hall monitor. He recently, along with the DECON volunteers created this video, sharing his story he wrote entitled “My life is a sunset” for the HOPES AND DREAMS nation wide tour. Be sure and catch MOHAMMED, MCKINZEY, and the rest of the volunteres as they come this winter to a city near you.

Mckinzey was one of the stand out cases. Both dedicated and talented, Mckinzey displayed early talents in puzzles, mosaic designs, and speed reading. The volunteers at HOPES AND DREAMS worked with her focusing on her personal strengths, creating this performance piece to display the power of focus and self-determination.

Mckinzey will join the DECON volunteer staff PERFORMING HER DEMONSTRATION, as they hit the road this winter on a NATION WIDE tour of 28 Schools, in an effort to gain awareness, and donations of time to HOPES AND DREAMS.

DECON recently created the HOPES AND DREAMS Foundation. A non-prophet group dedicated to helping NYC’s youth realize their dreams and hopes for the future. On October 17th we released 200 balloons with the wishes, dreams and hopes attached of Two Hundred K-5th graders. To raise above the city, towards the great blue sky, and to be ultimately read in the heavens and fulfilled. Shout out to PS157. More to come.
