Recently my WONDERFULLY cool stepmother whom I love and Adore more than most things real, tried to send me to the MONET “LILYs” exhibit here in NYC. Ive seen them once, and was pretty impressed with the scale, his realism through moving water and the mood in his thick meaty strokes. BUT it ends there for me…..Like…Cool man. Nice work. THESE….THESE HOWEVER MEAN SO MUCH MORE TO ME……………THESE SPEAK MY LANGUAGE… THE POST MODERN WOBLE…There is and never will be a POST-POST MODERN movement. this is it folks. From now to forever, or until we realize time isnt moving…. I can hear my dad laughing, while hocking flem simultaneously in educated objection…..Call it what you will from now on, but I swear its just referring back to here.
